Naw tomorrow they're announcing mega charizard z. The game just gives it to you in the second town and it doesn't need to hold a mega stone. And it can use its own z move with no stone too :^)

No Mega design would work as an "alternate" evolution, they're all designed as "[insertPokemonhere], but stronger".

They're have to be completely redesigned in order to function as evolutions, or alternate evolutions.
