Just got an emulator, playing Pokemon blue. When I was a kid I usually relied on my starter and maybe a couple others for most of the game, especially psychic since for some reason it seemed like psychic mons were OP.
I'm trying to mix it up more now. I want to use mostly a new team for each gym, and use mons that I never used when I was younger
So what are your favorite less-used Gen I mons? I'm in blue but I can do cheats to get the red ones (I think). Currently heading through the moon mountain to Misty, with pic-related team. Also have a Pikachu I'll use against Misty

Evolved them, you can catch both worms in the forest. Turns out that without starters, butterfrees confusion is the only way to beat Brock. Everything else does almost damage.

Oh, I was thinking they were version exclusives between R/B for some reason, probably got things muddled a bit with Weedle not being catchable in Yellow.
