Currently hunting for a second shiny Houndour via MMing, a shiny Snubbull, and a shiny Mareep via hordes in both X & Y and a shiny Cascoon via DexNav in Omega Ruby.

My advice is to just keep hunting since you're bound to find it eventually, no matter how long it takes. It's all about patience.

My recent finds were all last week, which include: shiny Houndour last Monday, 2 shiny Shellders and 5 shiny Skrelp (the latter via chain fishing).

MMing for Shiny Pawniard, using a 6IV male and 5IV female both adamant nature's. Doing the destiny knot/everstone stuff. Couldn't find a foreign one on gts so I had to breed those from scratch. Currently only at 80 Pawniards.

Route 8. If you go to the far left, there's a big rock where you can cast your rod to get a good chain going. I recommend fishing at the north side of the rock.

I remember when chain fishing was first discovered(?) blowing two or three hours in the afternoon chain fishing for a shiny skrelp myself and quickly pawning it off for the opposite box legendary before it became too widespread. It didn't take very long for the one, not sure if I got lucky, but chain fishing doesn't seem terribly time consuming.

It's confirmed one of the easiest methods as far as shiny hunting, unless you're going for a 5% encountermon.

So at least I know my Shiny is guaranteed 5 ivs.

I was Masudaing Buneary in a dream ball. I had close to 200 eggs in the PC. Hatched them all on a road trip. DS died without saving. Now I need to rehatch all these eggs when I know they're not shiny, so it's really killed my will to go on.

Make a living dex, it's hard but worth it to have the shiny charm in any game you want plus when sun and moon come out all you have to do is catch all the gen 7 Pokemon.

Within the last month I've hatched a Shiny Zorua, Charmander, and Ferroseed through MMing. I've also chain fished Clauncher, Poliwhirl, and Octillery.

I traded my Octillery though, that shiny color is god awful
