I would be extremely surprised if we got the starter's evos before mid-October at the absolute earliest. We'll probably be getting a video for Rockruff's evolutions localized names and some in-game footage of them, and maybe a proper explanation over their exclusivity. It's also about time they revealed Pikipek's evo, as the regional bird usually gets some attention paid to it by now.

Yes, I know that everyone really wants starter info, but stop getting your damn hopes up and assuming the best, you're only setting yourself up for disappointment and encouraging shitposting.

I'm not "hoping" for it, but I'm expecting a reveal at some point before release, and certainly before the starters. I've never liked a regional bird anyway.
