Wrestling is everywhere in some form, there's nothing to say that pokemon couldn't pick it up or that doing so wouldn't change their type.

For instance, Alola meowth is spoiled so it became a dark type. Alola rattata is nocturnal so it became a dark type. One of those is personality, the other behavior. You can find this theme elsewhere too, spiritomb is a ghost/dark that's a bunch of dead things who are collectively a dick, sableye is a ghost/dark that's not actually a ghost and which just lives in dark places.
