Pokemon like Beedrill were never supposed to be good in the end, anon. Every gen has a few Pokemon that reach their final form early to give you a notable power boost for the early game. Pokemon such as Butterfree, Beedrill and Raticate are supposed to be shit late game.

Audino was there just for exp farming. Sableye was a gimmickmon with no weakness, providing Sapphire players a quick way past Brawly.

Mega Pokemon are then made even more stupid by the fact that most of the pseudo-legendaries get them, as if 600 BST wasn't enough
