Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Psychic and Psyshock are awesome STAB. She still learns Calm Mind, Dazzling Gleam (super effective against Dark), Switcheroo and also can use Solar Beam (super effective against Grass) in a single turn thanks to Power Herb (which has good synergy with the Magician ability).

While I kind of agree with the whole Braixen thing, Delphox can get a good sweep going if you can safely get stats into it and you have some kind of speed control going like Sticky Web (and you may not even need that). But that's a lot of setup. You'd have to build a whole team around it.

DESU, none of the gen 6 starters really suck super bad. Greninja has Protean, Chesnaught is a good physical tank (despite its obvious type limitations), and Delphox has a cool HA and good offensive potential after just one Calm Mind.

If anything Dewott is the least popular of it's line if you look up Japan popularity results of "the most liked Unova pokemon" and the "720 election". Oshawott is the most popular and Samurott is the middle ground.

Delphox in the election is ranked under Braixen and got cucked by its pre evo in Pokken. Delphox got it worse when it comes to NFE preferences.
