Redid it without chosing tie once. I think it's more accurate to my preferences now.

Anyone else feel like the complete experience to Gen 5 has to be both BW and BW2? Not one or the other, but as a complete package. BW was the first time they tried taking the series in a slightly different, more JRPG-like direction. While BW2 was more like the usual pokemon but extremely refined with a ton of love put into them. They both did things the other didn't do and they make up for each other's faults.

I agree. You can't really have one without the other, and they complement each other very well (not to mention the story and character connections. A lot is missed playing just one of those in that aspect).

But they're still games released apart so they can and must be judged on their own.

The only games I'd say I really dislike are Fr/Lg. I don't even know why, it just felt so bland and boring. Never went too far on it, Again, would rather just replay Red/Blue.

Maybe it's because it's on that weird spot where the graphics were different but the writing/character wasn't, so the remake feels very lacking. It doesn't have the charm of the originals yet there's not enough new things to make it shine on its own.

I like Yellow even though it's ranked 9 on my list. I enjoyed getting all the starters and it has the best sprite art and use of color being on the GBC. The anime influenced me a bit too since on my first playthrough, I went with "ASH" for the name.

They're slow paced, but everyone probably just loves the world that they don't mind having out in it for longer.

I mean, the distribution isn't so bad as there are quite a few good Mons around, just not right there in front if you. People don't mind that or the curve as much as it is stated they do in threads. Plus there us a lot to do to have fun that makes the region feel alive.

I don't know if it pics up, because I just love it all.

I understand people saying B2/W2 are their number 1 it's ok I guess, but saying B/W are better than HG/SS, Platinum or Emerald? this is just being a fucking contrarian.
