I was kind of angry about that at first but I guess it's whatever. If they do make this a trend of getting rid of post-game things though I'm gonna be fucking pissed, they better keep their hands off of Battle Zone in the Gen 4 remakes. I don't think they will though, SM looks absolutely amazing and I think they learned their lesson about how people dislike a lack of fun stuff to do postgame.

I agree, I feel like the only one disappointed by the addition of features not in R/S. I mean, the physical/special split was completely unnecessary, and I don't see why they had to add all these gen4 and later Pokemon. Also, the 3d was bad when the original GBA games used sprites. And DexNav was completely unnecessary.

I wish there was a R/S remake that was more like the originals.

I was just disappointed, really. They didn't change the postgame too much from G/S/C to HG/SS, and it felt like they included a lot of aspects of Crystal even though it wasn't officially the title of the game.

I expected the Battle Frontier, it was a very unique postgame and even though it had artificial difficulty, it was still much more engaging and creative than the Battle Maison.

That being said, I like what they did with the World Tournament. I would like to have something like that in S/M, maybe.

I just remember coming away from HG/SS not particularly disappointed. Don't remember the details.

The only thing I ever hear people complain about with the BF is artificial difficulty, and the Maison has the exact same shit. At least the BF had some variety.

i dropped the game halfway into the delta episode. the game sucked before getting to that point.

Not very mad.

On one hand, HGSS were awesome because they were remakes of GS that included some of the cool extras that Crystal had. If ORAS were to follow suit, we'd have gotten a Battle Facility, and it would have been a fun addition.

On the other hand, we have the Pokemon-GL now, which I prefer, hands-down, no question. Frequent online tournaments with varying rulesets, ladders, and recorded statistics are way better than anything the battle facilities have given us before. Ranked Player-Player interaction is more valuable to me than various rulesets where the NPCs start to cheat after I clear a certain number of rounds "just because".

In a perfect world we would have both, but time and money are finite resources and GameFreak had a budget and put it towards other things, and I respect that decision because ORAS are honestly among the most complete and diverse array of content in the series to date, barring only HGSS maybe.

How many people actually played the Frontier in the games they were in, when those games were current and it wasn't an anti-ORAS talking point? I know I played a bit but I've spent at least 10x the time interacting with the Pokemon GL in some fashion, and I played the Frontier way more than any of my other Pokemon-playing friends.

With Ohmori in control without his puppetmaster, I hope the Riddler is honest about Battle Frontier.

They didn't rush ORAS. If they wanted something like the battle frontier, they could have easily hired more people. The only reason it isn't there is because they wanted to put in the battle maison over the battle frontier.

The only reason HG/SS had a Frontier is because they had Platinum to shameless copy/paste it from like the lazy bastards they are. OR/AS happened to come out in the generation that had a Maison instead, so that's what got copied over. If X/Y had a Frontier, it would have gotten that one instead.

They can bring it back for S/M, but I just hope there's an actual plot in the post-game.
