So is Arcanine a good Pokemon to use?
Can it hold up in OU or Ubers?
Is it fun or satisfying to use this Pokemon in battle?
Furfags can kill themselves
Consider using Arcanine's cooler sister. Holds up in OU and is fun and satisfying to use.
Yes it can be used to great effect because of its stats and move pool, it does well in OU and VGC though I doubt it does good in Ubers.
Arcanine is very usable but can only really be a suicidal attacker doing Flare Blitz/Wild Charge with life orb
>Can it hold up in OU or Ubers?
No but it does fine in UU. I've seen some people in OU use it in the lower end of the ladder but it's always pretty bad.

It can use a bulky Will-o set too using Morning Sun as recovery, a fire blast to get rid of physically bulky steels, Snarl to lower the sp atk of the opponent.
Its not THAT bad in OU. It definitely won't stand out, but you could do worse. It has healing, flash fire, and will-o-wisp, so it can play defense, and it has a pretty good offensive movepool, if a little on the weaker side in todays meta. Plus, sneaky pebbles is a massive pain in every fire-types ass.
Ubers, not likely. It doesn't have any tricks that can really justify using it when there are better fire types.
But if you like Arcanine, use him. He's on the better side of average.

Is it ok at tanking fairy hits?
Is an offensive or defensive set typically more effective?
Also, why should I use Ninetales instead? I wouldn't be against trying but its stats are underwhelming and I don't wanna be stuck using Drought.
