Newfag here, can someone explain the dogars meme to me please?

Dogars is the Japanese name for Koffing. In BW2 the poison type gym includes a song that goes D O G A R S DOGARS, which was changed to P O K é M O N POKéMON in the English release. The song is catchy and dogars sounds silly to the English year, not unlike donger, and thus the meme was born.
