What in your opinion is the best 3 and worst 3 mega evolutions so far?

Purely from an aesthetic angle, best three are Mega Beedrill, Absol, and Banette.

Worst three are Mega Manetric, Slowbro, and Shardepo.

This is really hard. I'm not even sure about those choices at all. There's a lot of designs I hate or look stupid and then there's stuff like Mega Audino that looks really clean and i'd like to put in best, but feel like it can't edge the rest out.

And then there's the potential fact that i'm just missing something. I thought Mega Salamence didn't have arms for the longest time.

Most are fucking ugly and epitomise overdesign. The ones that are actually sort of decent like Mawile, Banette and Absol are for pokemon that could have had them as full evolutions with slightly reworked designs.

Latias/Latios (one turning purple and getting larger arms would've been fine, but the problem is they look exactly the same, otherwise this spot would be occupied by Banette since none of the other megas look all that bad but Banette just adds too many zippers and I think regular Banette looks better. Lucario: I don't like Lucario. But I hate Lucario's default design for having dumb pants and being generally shit, while Mega Lucario fixes a lot of the things wrong with regular Lucario.
Sableye: Fitting and clever design. Too bad in gameplay it's stall-cancer 99% of the time.
Mawile: Also fitting and neat
Honorable Waifu Mentions: Gardevoir and Diancie

Worst:
Lati. Come on. That's one design being used for two Pokes.
Manectric. Too much hair gel.
Sharpedo. It's whatever.
Dishonorable mentions: Garchomp's scythe hands are fucking dumb. Rayquaza; why did you even get a mega?

I wouldn't miss most of these fucking terrible designs if they were straight up removed. Rework some of them to be evos and rework their stats to be counterparts like Scyther-Scizor, nix the rest.

Best are mawile, banette, and kangaskhan.

Worst are Gyarados, manectric, and sharpedo.

I think the best one is for sure MegaMawile, both for the concept and the design, i wish it could be an actual evolution, it's so cool!

Based purely on design.

M-Slowbro is the best example of what a Mega Evolution can be - it takes an element of the original design to its logical conclusion. The Shellder which originally bit Slowpoke's tail now protects the body from harm.

M-Sableye isn't much of a visual jump as many other Mega's, but I think it works really well here. Sableye rips the gem from its chest to act as a shield. That's pretty badass. And then it eats it before reverting back to normal! Amazing.

Mega Sceptile is just what Sceptile should have always been desu. An improvement on the original design in every way.

My 3 favorites are probably Mega Sceptile, Mega Pinsir and Mega Houndoom. I think all of them complement the original designs well. I also really like Mega Beedrill and Mega Seto Kaiba.

The 3 worst ones are Mega Heracross, Mega Absol and Mega Glalie. I chose those 3 because I love their normal forms a lot, so the disappointment is greater for me, than something like Mega Venuaur which I didn't care about to begin with.

Why are you presuming percentages of psychic power required to float? What logic or reasoning are you using to state this claim?

Also Alakazam does weigh something, 105.8 lbs to be exact, not that this is relevant because both alakazam and Slowbro can learn telekinesis, meaning that they can levitate a steelix for 3 turns if they wish, slowbro floating wouldn't be much of a stretch if it can levitate mega Aggron.

But let me reiterate, Slowbro is standing on it's tail, so it's without doubt it's using some sort of physical energy to keep itself upright, when it uses some moves it's rotates like a spinning top, again physical energy.

A pokemon whos main trait is its laziness and sloth exerting so much energy, is for me why mega Slowbro is a terrible pokemon and by far the worst mega.
