Sprites are 2D pixel art.
Models are 3D digital sculptures.
Animation is the way something moves.
The same model can be freely recolored, they are not like clay sculptures.
>Man, the Gen 6 sprites suck!
No. Those are models. Those models are extremely high quality. It's the animations that suck.
>Whatever, the Stadium models were way better.
No. Those models were low resolution polygons. The animations were better.
>Well the models are too washed out and ugly
No. The model does not have color of its own. Blame the coloration itself, it's a separate entity.
Learn the fucking difference. Common sense thread, post common sense.

They did in the menus and they are terrible.

I'm sure gen 8 will look amazing with 3D models. I think they will use the gen 6 models but add HD textures and more colors to them

Yeah it sure does when I see you fucking dipshits discussing the "models".

Being well-made doesn't make it less ugly or stupid looking. You can put all the craftsmanship In the world into a piece of artwork, but if it still looks bad in the end, it still looks bad. No one cares about the process, 99.9% people only care about the finished product. In the case of gen-6 models, they have washed out colors and a lot of them move weird or don't quite look right.

I know you're a sinnohfetus and you only ever experienced one sprite for your """bro""" but Pokemon go through minor design changes whenever they get a new sprite. It's not surprising the 3D model differs from the sprite.
