There are quite a few of OP's version on eBay, particularly from various parts of Europe. It's more likely either a regional variant or Tomy just made a change to the packaging mid-run.

Either way, they seem to go for about 15 bucks each.

Shockingly I think those actually might be legit. Jakks Pacific has notoriously low standards for quality in their toys so it's probably not a surprise when you see shit like this.

I really wish TOMY would make some of these instead of 18 million figures of the starters and shit and selling them in tubes. The keychains are the best things for nostalgiafags and people who'd like to just have a non-Hot Topic/f.y.e shitty pokemon keychain
