Why "probably"? I'd say it's very unlikely. Magnemites tranferred from Gen I to GSC back in the day became Steel-type upon arriving in the Gen II game. There are no pure Electric Magnemite in Gen II. There's literally no reason to assume Game Freak would leave it as a pure Electric.
