It's so much better than the anime and expands on the games lore/world nicely. Read it and see for yourself it's really fun. (also best continuity of any pokemon media)

I liked it at least, though some plot points go full retard.

it's surprisingly cheap for manga. You can get the first 14 volumes for like $60.

It has good moments, but really can suffer from trying to make the story needlessly convoluted. Overall a good read though.

There's a lot of retarded shit happening, like E4 turning evil for no reason, the whole "Dex holder" shit, but it's much better than the anime. Especially the DPPt and BW arcs. Those were amazing.

Anyways, I really enjoyed this manga. Much more than the anime.

Better than the anime. Surprisingly darker content like pokemon getting severely injured/killed or people threatening other with pokemon, (Scyther's arms or golbat's wings at the throat etc.)

Good up until late Ruby/Sapphire arc, though Fire Red is pretty good as well. Emerald is a tragedy. Don't know how it goes later, stopped reading two badges into D/P. It was going pretty slow tho.

Emerald's arc is bad because of... well, Emerald. But man, the ending was awesome, so much it made it worth for me to go through Emerald the entire arc.
That aside, they use held itens and strategies around those, which was good to see for once.

D/P is a slower than all other arcs. I think it's actually the slowest arc so far, or maybe since the Red arc (which was the beginning, essentially would be slow).

It's the best part of the franchise in terms of fluff, not that it really has competition.
