I'm madly in love with gen 2 hoot hoot sprites and can't stand the move to the red eye ballsacks that are the 3d models. Anybody agree or any of other designs that have been ruined through successive sprite/graphic iterations.

3D models we have currently are mainly an issue with posing. Look at some of the old 3d console games and how much personality they managed to put in the animations. Now most species simply stand there bobbing up and down a bit.
There's also some trouble with washed out colors, but posing is something that is far more of an issue, and something that can potentially be fixed.
