Made this today /vp/. First clay model ever. Post yours guys. :)
I commissioned someone to make me this heliolisk pokedoll! I'm very happy with how he turned out.

Thats awesome anon. Looks pretty good.
>>28502050
What sort of material is this made from?
>>28503599
clay?
>>28502050
Who was the artist?
It looks so good, congrats!
>>28502050
It looks awesome!
>>28503648
Good effort, but check who I'm asking
>>28502050
Looks great. How much was it?
>>28503599
It's minky!
>>28501980
Great job, anon! I love Pyukumuku. What'd you use?
>>28503677
Scragstergram on Instagram.
>>28503815
It was around $160. I paid an extra $15 to make it one of a kind.
I don't have any pictures of it currently, but I've made a Pikachu hoodie, Poochyena hoodie, Jolteon hoodie, Charmander hoodie, working on a Typhlosion plush and dress, a gameboy color bag with changeable screens (featuring Yellow and Red version), and I'm planning more in the future.

>>28503734
Thanks guy! I was very pleased with the end result.
>>28501980
really ant to get into sculpting, but know fuck all about which clay to use. Can you help out Anon?
Mostly want something I can practice on and use the more expensive ones for serious stuff.
Brought some of that 50 lb amco air dry clay and its great at first, but the sculpture shrnking makes it crack to all hell
I'm making either a plushie or a 1/7 scale figure of Lusamine out of polymer clay. I make plushies all the time but wouldn't mind making a figure for a change. Any tips?
I made this for my friend, I ran out of brown thread so I couldn't make him fluffier.
>>28505292
the eyes look a little derped but it makes him all the more adorable!
I tried to make Alola Raichu using a pre existing sewing pattern and slightly modified it. Not extremely happy but it's aight. I don't usually make plushes but I do make cosplays.
>>28506815
It looks cute!!
Good job!
>>28501980
Looks terrible. Fuck off underage fag
>>28505073
>160 on something that could have costed 40 or so
Talk about ripoff. But autism knows no bounds i guess.
>>28501980
can you make a bigger one, maybe with a hollow space in it? I'm asking for a friend.
>>28507384
That's not really a ripoff. It takes at least 24 hours to craft something custom like this. But you wouldn't know because you probably can't make a clay ball.
>>28507342
but anon-kun, op-chan couldnt use the oven if they were underage?
>>28501980
Not bad. Face is as cute as fuck.
>>28506815
Aww its super cute. Did you use a teddy pattern or something?
>>28507384
160 is a little on the high end, but it came out looking professionally made, so I'm not particularly surprised.
>>28502050
Cute plush! I remember seeing them post it on ig. I have a rockruff plush from that same artist
>>28507384
You're an idiot. It takes quite a lot of time to handcraft something like what I commissioned them to make. In materials, yes, probably $40; but I'm paying for their time. And it's art. Art is expensive.
>>28507973
I loved her (I think) Rockruff!!! Very nice!
Two models I've made :)
>>28508287
D'aww
>>28507384
Just fyi it's not strictly about material costs (although Minky is a relatively expensive fabric and difficult to work with). It also takes time to create the sewing pattern or template, cut out the fabric, and sew it together. Heliolisk looks like a moderately complicated pattern, so I can imagine that drafting and perfecting the pattern would take a few hours by itself. Add in detailing work like the eyes (which look like they're machine stitched) and all the time spent making it adds up.
If we made the assumption that the creator wasn't taking advantage of economies of scale, he/she very easily could be making below minimum wage while charging $175.
>>28509585
Also some OC--A mediocre Hoppip I made when I was learning how to sew.
>>28503742
I blame sleep deprivation.
Trevenant I made out of clay a few months ago
>>28501980
Looks great, OP! Nicely done.

>>28510016
Man, i would love to have a bag or something that looked like this
>>28508173
Or ou could have paid 40 for an already existing one at any shop because the differences are abysmal.

>>28515008

>>28515008
