And even then, they could have just used both characters and mix it a little. It's not too hard. Even Special did it.

The sad thing is that they are shorts and will only be like an hour long in total for 6 generations. That's pretty rushed. But they will not feature anything from the games themselves only the points of the games' plots which is good.

I'm not sure how they benefit by taking the concept of Origins and making each episode even shorter. The scenes with Red and Green only a few years after Origins just seems like a retread. Hopefully the other regions will be good but again, Origins main problem was how short it was. Major events were reduced to still camera pans across the four episodes. Since this series has to cover every generation in five minute shorts, it's likely to get a similar treatment if not glossed over entirely.
