I have hope. I'm sure they want to change the entire anime with this, so this might be their chance to fix it. Also I love the slice of life genre and I always wanted a SoL pokemon anime/manga/whatever.

Hopin that they're going to pull a bait and switch. Traveling to new locations is too iconic to the series. Ash will go to class for the first few episodes but get increasingly bored and restless because he already knows all the basic lessons they're teaching. So he'll run away from school to explore Alola, and the non-trial captains (a la Iris) will tag along for the adventure. That way you pull in the audience with the shocking change up, but can still keep the core aspects once they're hooked.

Of course not. Just like Sun and Moon itself. Ohmori and his autistic team wanted to lure over the Yokai Watch shitbase with cartoony designs and artstyle, dumb gimmicks, a plot that some 5 year old came up with, overloaded garbage gameplay and paying 10 bucks to get one max IV pokemon when you could just breed. They've succeeded with what they want, Pokemon is dead to me.

I won't watch it but I will be highly entertained if Mallow or Lillie end up being Ash's new love interest for the season.

Either way, this should increase Mallow art regardless which is good enough for me.
