If it was morning or evening, they would use 夜 or 朝, respectively evening and morning, just like they did in the first scans when referring to "the cool version of the evening" and "the hot version of the morning"

It's very unlikely that the "Sun/Moon limited evolution" line could actually mean that. They use the actual Japanese words to refer to time of day while the "limited evolution" line uses Katakana to refer to the English titles of the game. From the image you posted:

I mean, I guess I shouldn't have expected different from Game Freak, but what's even the point of all this day/night cycle stuff if it doesn't actually seem to do anything? If you get Sun it won't matter if you decide to play at night, because you still won't fight Raticate in that cavern, your Rockruff just plain won't evolve until it's day time again, etcetera.
