In gen 2 (HGSS), Ho-Oh and Lugia appear before you and acknowledge you as worthy, same with Suicune. In Hoenn you're entrusted to stop the primals from ramaging, and Rayquaza helps you save the world. The legends in DP want you to stop them, and the pixies come to your aid to help stop the creation legends. You're a fucking chosen one in BW, and Kalos is... Kalos. The legends there join you to stop Lysandre.
