I want to know why it's a Rock type. Other than the rocks sticking off its collar like spikes there's nothing rock-like about it. It just looks like a Normal type. Moondog looks even less like a Rock type.

Sounds to me like it will transform based on the time of day, not just when it evolved. Kinda like Deerling or Cherrim. That also makes sense of the fact that two very different looking pokemon have the same name, and plays into the theme, aka a normal-looking dog mon turns into red-eyed werewolf at night.

This is for sure the GOAT of all wolf pokemon. But I'm still getting moon which is cool cause Im more of a werewolf guy anyway, so Im sure that form will grow on me too. Hate to fall for gamefreaks mascot trap but rockruff is already one of my all time faves thanks to these evos.
