Its basically a copypasta, ash's clothes were always semi original after OS. AG and BW were more original but the design is questionable, while DP and XY were more akin to the games. This is even farther then those two, and my jimmies are rustled.

I doubt it. If you look at the image, there is a white glow around Ash, Pikachu, Rotom Dex, and Rowlett. No one else has that glow, not even Litten or Popplio. This glow was to make the main characters pop out from the secondary characters. It seems that Ash is getting Rowlett as his main Alola buddy.

The two bangs of hair that he has that run down his forehead are all curved and cartoony looking, as well as the rest of his hair. It is less defined than XY when you could see his sideburns and actual detail in his hair.

His trademark z's on his cheeks are even all curved and squigly. It's awful.
