UB's will have two forms. Form one will be based on one of the Aether members, form two is their "true" or simply an alternative powered up combat form.

I'm personally not of the opinion that the UB's can actually become people, but rather that they are bonded to a person and take on their appearance. Perhaps they need to bond with someone to pass through to our universe?

UB 02 Expansion is obviously meant to resemble Gladion, the grey, black, and red colour scheme, plus Gladion has the exact same spikes on his hoodie that UB 02 Ex has on its arms and the back of it's head.

I personally doubt the UB's are mimics or shapeshifters.

It doesn't make sense to have two separate shape shifters, especially when they're being explicitly described as their forms. UB-01 is going to look like Lille, you wouldn't create a separate UB for another form you'd just have the same UB shapeshift into other forms.

Wicke is the odd one out and won't have a UB because she's not from the Aether family.

Expand form will either be Gladion because it shares the same colour scheme, has the pent up frustration and is about the same age as Lusamine, or it'll be Faba because of his mosquito-like appearance and the fact that Gladion appears to have escaped Aether with Type: Null.

You wanna know what I think all this is? I think it's all a big experiment by Colress. Colress created Type: Null from the DNA splicers used on Kyuurem.

The Aether Foundation is the old monarchy of Alola that had the Meowth that became Alolan Meowth when the monarchy was destroyed. Colress destroyed it created the Aether Foundation in his image, half human half Pokemon.
