I ignored Medicham back in gen III for some reason, and payed no attention to it until gen VI.

The inclusion of a mega evolution finally made me look deeper into this thing, and now I love it. Quite the bro tier Pokemon, even without the mega.

Funny story: I was reading Medicham's entry on bulbapedia once, looking for its anime appearences, one of these was "Grooming Furfrou!" (8 of XY). I watched the episode and couldn't find Medicham at all, there weren't many scenes that could show pokemon beyond the main ones either.
I assumed it was a mistake but this supposed appearence was listed in both the pokemon's and the episode's page. I then assumed some scene was missing from the dubbed episode but nope.
It took me several tries and when I finally spotted it I wanted to shoot myself.
I've given up trying to find it in "A Battle by Any Other Name!" (26 of XY).

I decided to use a Medicham in Or, since i always ignored it before. As a suicide lead with HJK and elemental punches, it swept the two remaining gyms and most of the elite four, aside from Phoebe. I didn't even use the Mega.

Good thing the elemental punches were made physical from gen 4 onwards, back in RSE they were special so Medicham's ability had no effect on them.

There was an ending theme for the DP anime that had several versions with different pokemon, but Meditite and Medicham were a constant along with the main cast, probably because it was some kind of eastern music:

Absolutely. It's part of the reason I didn't use fighting Pokemon in general in Gen III, along with most poison or dark types. I honestly think it's one of the most important mechanics changes to the series.
