XY's ratings are sinking. The staff probably thinks that by ripping off Yokai Watch they can save it.

They're also way too tied to tradition to allow something like a new protagonist at this point, so Ash's character has to be completely refocused if they're changing the anime's main premise. I guess we now know that they'll first let the Pokemon anime die before ever attempting to make Ash progress or introduce a new hero.

I've even been featured on Pixiv about two dozen times. They represent thousands of hours that I've invested in this ship.

SerenaAsh is the basis of this series. It all starts with them and ends with them. They saved each other and they love each other. It was so simple and so perfect. I have nothing more to say about this.
