Virtual Console to Sun and Moon Transfers

Got Red, gunna transfer my Charizard and Nidoking but that's about it

Playing Blue. I've gotten all 151 as PokeDex data but I gotta glitch/trade some more for a living Pokedex. Also gonna get a bunch of gimmicky movesets thanks to tons of TMs, moves that Pokemon didn't have in later gens and Rare Candy. Everyone's after Fissure Machamp and Hydro Pump Kabutops, but no-one expects an entire line up of Pokemon to have Pay Day.

Same here, anon. Current team is Pikachu and the three starters, and I'm planning on getting a Lapras and Aerodactyl too. Looking forward to maybe evolving the pikachu into a Alola Raichu.

Really hope they get g/s/c on the Virtual Console too. I loved the remakes, but the original GB games have a sort of nostalgic feel to them that I'd love to re-experience if I could transfer my team.

I imagine if they want tournament play not to fall apart because of ability/move combinations from R/B/Y they'll have a 'No Kanto TMs' clause for certain tournaments or something. Some kind of interface hint that shows what moves are gen 1 TM moves too, so you know what you have to get rid of for certain tournaments.

I'd rather they allow broken combinations for regular play and not for certain tournaments then to not allow them at all.

Unless there is something I can get in Yellow Version that I don't already have easy access to I don't really see the point in dropping $10 on a game that is more frustrating to play and more rudimentary than it's modern descendants. I literally have LeafGreen sitting on my desk if I want to play it.

Kind of hoping that its more island-specific or something so that we can get old forms outside of Pokemon Bank. Like, if it evolves on Island 3: The Sunny Island, it gets the Alola Form. But you evolve it on Island 4: Fuck You It's a Cold Mountain, you get the normal form. Etc.

I'm pretty sure it was explicitly said that you have to transfer to get old forms, hence why RBYG VC transfer is a thing (and probably why Alolan forms are likely to stay Gen 1-only for now).

Hell, the theory or leak or whatever it was about transferring MissingNo. might not be completely absurd since they line up with index numbers for Gen 2 Pokemon, meaning it might be possible to transfer MissingNos. and have them appear as Gen 2 Pokemon in SM. Now, I doubt this will happen, but it's theoretically possible.

Anyway, RBY doesn't save ball capture data, does it? Could we theoretically get a special transfer ball for Gen 1 transfers or will they all just be in regular balls?

Someone datamined the RBY releases and Missingno no longer share index numbers with Gen 2.

They have their own index numbers now, which means they might be planning on putting Missigno as an actual Pokemon in SM
