I just don't want to see Mimikyu stuck in the role of a "Blasting off again!" mon. I get that it'll be happy if someone captures it and won't mind who it is as long as its loved. But making it a mon destined to not get any development would suck.

If it was like Goomy who joins Ash to get stronger but in this case to learn that it doesn't need to imitate Pikachu to be loved then that would best end for it.

This allows him to learn how to use Z-Moves for each type, going through the region and learning from each captain.
