That was always odd, though I accepted it a lot more than;

My D&D level headcanon was that you can block physical attacks the same with two swords as you could a shield (though I'm sure proper medeival sword technique would prove this wrong), but only a shield could properly block magic or something of the sort, but it's still weird.

There is nothing to defend. It's my favourite.
Only reason /vp/ doesn't like Aegislash is that it was good competitively and say you're a "smogoner" if you like it, but Smogon even banned Aegislash into a tier where you can't use it effectively.
