I'm playing Pokémon Polished Crystal now, it seems like a pretty nice hack. The difficulty during gym battles is solid, and even Victory Road was a decent challenge with all of the Ace Trainers having full teams. Trainers also use equipped items (which you can steal using Thief).

Are there any other good gen II hacks? I really like the sprites for those games.

I actually installed bitrio v3 but I absolutely hated the layout and how it got rid of pallette blender so I uninstalled it. I actually have never had it crash on me *knocks on wood*

Pokémon Bronze and Pokémon Dark Energy are hacks with custom regions, both are solid gameplay-wise, though the former has memes in it and the latter's writing isn't very good at the start (it gets better later on, if very standard for a JRPG).

Pokémon Pyrite and Twitch Plays Pokémon: Anniversary are vanila+ hacks similar to Polished Crystal, and they're also both well done, though each are different in tone compared to it (Pyrite is a "straight" hack with only the original Pokémon and moves from Crystal, TPPAC is like a mix between Red and Crystal).

I want to recommend Prism but it's not out yet.

How do I make a Pokemon have a certain form depending on it's nickname? ex. if It's nickname is John Cena it will have John Cena's face.

Does anyone know if there is a list of the sounds files in the ORAS sound folder along with the OST name for each file? I want to replace some songs with songs from Gale of Darkness, but only a few are obvious without being able to play them.

How do I apply text speed codes in Pokemon platinum? they don't seem to work unless 'blazingly fast' isn't fast at all and slow is the same speed as blazingly fast? Anyone help?

I'm looking to get back into hacking FRLG after being away from the scene for about 8 years.

I see that there are ROM bases that have all the Pokemon and other stuff like mega evolution available. Would it be better to insert all of these myself, or go with the bases?

(And another quick question: when I compile/insert a script, am I able to edit it in XSE to tweak it afterwards or is it in the ROM like that forever?)

So I haven't posted a WIP in a while; I need feedback on this, I'm worried it may be too soft-sounding compared to the original.
