The NX is releasing next year. GF probably already has the dev kit, and if the rumors are true, then a Pokemon launch title is already planned for the new console

Highly doubt they will switch to a new console mid-gen. Whatever features the NX has they will want to show them off in a completely new game. Like gen 7.5

RS still got an updated dex, so I wouldn't be surprised if even DP remakes got the platinum dex.
Beyond that, all we'd lose out on is the battle frontier.

I don't see why they wouldn't have the distortion world included. Besides that the games are mostly the same, Platinum just improved the speed and graphics and such, which is irrelevant to remakes.
