This little fucker is the reason why I wanted to get Litten. He's the friendliest cat I've ever seen, loves cuddles and is quite possibly tne most gluttonous thing my household has seen since I became a teenager. My family (and my dog, oddly enough) has raised him and his sister since they were a couple of weeks old since their mother owned by an ex-friend of my stepdad disappeared, and they'll be two years old in a fortnight. The only major peeve I have about them is that we got them on my first day of my HSC which I fucked up really badly and even though I barely made it into uni, they're kind of an eternal reminder of that fact. Still love them to bits though, especially this guy.

Its a japaneses breed, although we're not entirely sure he's purebred

They only get to be about 15-18 inches or so in height at the shoulders. They're also very curious, and springy dogs since they were bred to hunt small game in very rocky mountainous areas.

This is Zeus, we love him, but as per his namesake he's a bit of an asshole.

I have my cat right here, Coco, this cat acts like im a part of her litter, following me everywhere, whenever I call her name she comes straight to me, and she even knows my routine so well, she even fucking tries to keep me to stick to it. Example: going to my bedroom and meowing loudly until either I call her or go lay down with her. She is one of the kindest animals I've seen in my life. As I type this, she is fucking sleeping right under my desk.

Here's my two year old Basenji, Raameses. He's an African breed of dog originally given to Pharaohs as gifts, and kept as pets. Later, African villages would keep them in packs to hunt other animals, even lions! The thing about the Basenji is that it cannot bark, but it can "baroo"/yodel.

If he were a Pokémon, I'd imagine him to be a Ground Type, specializing in Attack & Speed, retaining a decent HP & Defense, and lacking in Sp. Attack & Sp. Defense. I don't believe an evolution would be necessary since they don't change appearance much, and I'm not sold on a Sub Type for him.

Cats are pretty easy as far as pets go.

Give it a place to poop and a place to eat and a place to sleep and it'll pretty much take care of itself after that.

I mean, you gotta vacuum a lot, and remember to scoop the litter every day, but other than that they're less maintenance than most pets I've had, in my opinion anyway.

Adopting an older cat is the way to go for your first time, too.

Mine likes to sleep on the stove when I'm not home though, so I have to clean it like every damn day.

This is Dinner. I think he's a green sunfish, but sunfish are hard to tell apart and readily hybridize, so I don't know if I'll ever really know for sure. I originally brought Dinner and a few other fish I'd caught back home to feed to a crayfish I had at the time. The crayfish had no interest, so Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner became permanent residents of the tank. Until Dinner ate Breakfast and bullied Lunch so badly that I had to release him back where I originally caught him.
This fish is an asshole. He's the biggest asshole I have, my bettas are friendlier to other fish than he is.

This is the surprisingly non-bloodthirsty crayfish. He died a while back, unfortunately. Sometimes I'd hear him clacking his claws against the tank lid at night, trying to find a way out. He was pretty neat, if horrifying.

Officially adopted this little guy as of a month ago.
About 12 months ago he turned up in the street and I tried to call him over and he ran away. Maybe 2 weeks later I saw him again, slowly tried get closer to him but eventually he ran away. A few days later I saw him once again. This time I ran inside got some food and tried to slowly tempt him to come over. He did. After this he slowly became more and more confident around me and eventually started walking in the house like he owned the place. I'm fully aware that this is someones pet but it was just nice to have him around every now and again. Until he just decided to be at our house 24/7. Now he his honestly like a dog, I call him and he runs to me, he can't get close enough to you. But anyway.
We went on a family holiday a bit over a month ago and when we returned he vanished. 2 weeks later he finally turns up, has flees, looks ridiculously skinny and seemed to have a broken jaw. Immediately we took him to the vet. They scanned the microchip and we found the owner. The vets called the owner and he said he hasn't seen him in over 2 years and doesn't want him. Well we then printed out the transfer papers and signed them.
I named him Melo. He's great.

I've also had a bunch of mice, though I'm down to two now. They have such short lifespans, it's awful.

When I had a bigger group I'd often find them all sleeping piled on top of eachother, which was cute as hell, but I don't see that now because the two remaining mice don't seem to like eachother all that much. This is because one of them is a fat bitch.

I love dogs but they're too much work for me, dunno how dog owners deal with the responsibility.

Seriously, they're growing german shepherds: Shepherds are working dogs, and *need* to be trained and exercised. If you don't keep them occupied, they can turn destructive.

70 pounds of teeth and energy destructive.

I hope you enjoy pokemon Go, because as soon as they start to grow up, you're going to be taking some very long walks with them. Focus on teaching them obedience commands first and foremost (Sit, Stay, Come here, Stop, Break, Return, etc.)

Though, while they are this size, you can start teaching them trust... like, put them on a chair or mattress and encourage them to jump down into your arms. Catch them, give them love, and replace them on the chair... they'll be more eager to come to you for love and affection each time.

Of course ,this depends on how much you mind having german shepherds on your furniture. Fair warning: they can climb, and it's not weird to find them on tables or countertops as they grow older. Just establish good and Bad places to be

Good to know. We are moving to acres in November and going to be walking daily for both our well-being. I like the trust exercise ideas. He's more... malleable? than his sister right now and more calm, so he's picking up on obedience like a champ. Had the easiest dog bath today thanks to the clicker.
