Man, slow down that hype train for a second and take a deep breath, otherwise you'll crash against a wall when they come out. Getting so hyped can only lead to disappointment, even if the game turns out to be great, all that hype won't make you feel it.

And this comes from someone who's hyped as hell too.

Stuff people usually scrutinize like exploration, hand-holding difficulty and post-game are still up in the air. I will say this though, having just Hau and the battle-averse and shy Lillie tag along is a noticeable improvement.

I personally love all the little things they've done to make it overall better than the previous games.
>Seeing trainers in fights
>enemy trainer has attack animations
>NPCs have idle animations
>dedicated pokeball button
>seeing move details from battle screen
>seeing status changes for pokemon in a fight
>how it's faster when a pokemon levels up (music has been sped up a bit)

I'm really excited to see what else they've improved/changed for the better.

You misremember Gen VI then. A popular pastime for this board was listing all the features it was introducing and declaring it could be the best game ever. There really was a ton of new things, but no one gives a shit now when the story was so bland and some of those features under-delivered.

Don't get too hyped,because the games might end up being complete garbage.I was very hyped,but they kept showing garbage,after garbage,until they destroyed the hype(at least for me).Still,I'm going to give them a chance,they might be actually good.

I'm really excited for these games.

I'm also really going to try and leave /vp/ on Monday so I still have some stuff left a surprise for me in-game. I really want to see the CoroCoro before I go, but knowing my luck it'll get posted on Monday.

Though I have to say if these games turn out to be XY-tier in relation to the story and plot of the evil team I'll be dropping Pokemon until they make a Canada based region or an official pokemon mmorpg. Which will probably never happen.

I just can't stay with this series if it keeps going downhill. But I have to say that from the trailers it looks WAYY better than XY.

Everything so far, except for knowing we'll have ash greninja in it, is 100% awesome.

This might be the best gen of all time.
