Then you use knock off or t-wave based on the rest of the team. It is a great support Pokemon in battle spot singles, since SR isn't nearly as common and focus sash is useable.

It's not an OHKO from full, but teams with Mega Pinsir are usually "birdspam" teams, meaning they have a LOT of Pokemon that pressure Rotom. So in this circumstance Rotom is either already weakened from the other birds OR Rotom GETS severely weakened and other Pokemon like Talonflame become a huge issue.

you need individual counters/checks because a lot of the good fairies don't share common weaknesses

having a strong poison/steel user with mawile around won't matter for shit and azumarill is easier to deal with via grass/electric

then there's gardevoir who can take the special attacks that hurt the aforementioned fairies and needs to be dealt with via something like ghost
