I don't know, the rest of the fire types are generally rare. Vulpix especially, I've only caught 2 or 3 of them. Magmar is definitely more common than Jynx or Electabuzz though. As far as Ground goes, there's a shitload of Sandshrew everywhere and quite a few Geodude and Rhyhorn. Diglett are less common and I've only seen a couple of Onix so far.

Sometimes I hate this game. At least I got another Eevee cp 676 but IVs are only 73%. Oh, and it wasn't a softban - other stuff went in nicely. The other problem is that shitmons can break out four times without running and I can only land great throws 70% of the time because they keep jumping around.

i just went on a road trip, and i haven't been able to log in since the sunday before last. i'm at the screen where it *would* say that it fails to authenticate, although the damned pokeball just spins for fucking eternity. none of the fixes i've seen work for it, and i'm about to give up on the game completely.

I think the level part is just arbitrary. Correlated but not the cause. I think the actual "boredom" phase kicks in when you run out of incentive to progress. If you already have a good number of high-CP, high IV good-move Gym attackers and defenders, a decent chunk of the Pokedex finished and a lot of the achievements done, there isn't much reason to play anymore. The rolling quest of egg hatching is also boring as shit if you don't shell out for more incubators.

Yes, it requires the game to be running. You can leave it in power-saving mode in your pocket if you have the PG+.

It notifies you when a Pokemon is active on the overworld. With a single click, you can throw a ball and for a quicker catch. Problems being you can only use it on mons you've registered, and I'm guessing it removes the chances for curveball and nice/great/excellent bonuses.

It also lets you claim items from Pokestops. The unit lights up blue or pink depending on the 'pinned' stops' status.

It works as long as the app is running. You can't turn your screen off, because that suspends the game. Not sure if you mean 'up' as in upright or active.

To the best of my knowledge, catching a Pokemon is the only time the device vibrates.

Flee rates were increased about a month ago. Balls self-curving and self-destructing has always been a thing, but it also seems to have increased with that update. More importantly, these pseudo-random events (fleeing, ball anomalies, jumping/attacking) happen far more often as you reach higher levels. The level of mon has a role to play, but so does Trainer level, meaning even CP10s flee more.

I'm fuzzy on the chronology, but they updates the catch mechanics and camera placement in the first major update.

Initially, you could throw a ball when the mon first appeared and filled the screen. When they removed this oversight, they created what seems like a new oversight.

Now, after a failed capture, the camera pulls back further from the mon, meaning you'll need to throw further. Zubat, in particular, has a high hit box and somewhat erratic movements.

More specifically, you can miss flying Pokemon by accidentally throwing a ball over a wing. I'll typically throw a sharp curveball from the bottom left, which ends up hitting one of the wings, if not the body.

What I did was keep a really low CP Spearow with Peck as its primary move and then waited to catch a ~double CP Caterpie or Weedle. Knocks it out with a Peck or 2 and then boom instant prestige. You can pull it off with other things besides the Magnemite/Magikarp thing.

Learn how the game works. For specific spawned mon IVs are the exact same for everyone. Level differs depending on trainer level and is random.

Ultra Balls confirmed for rarest drop from pokestops, even behind Max Potions. Caught a 1200 CP Dragonair last night at 1am, cleaned me out. Hit roughly 25-30 pokestops since then, don't even have a single Ultra Ball to my name right now.

This gym next to my home is pissing me off.
It has stood unchallenged for a long time and allows the people on it daily free money, while I have to look for spots in gyms that fall in the 21 hours it takes to get new coins.

If you're talking about evolution spam for leveling, Pidgeys and Weedles are best to evolve in mass because they only need 12 candy. Don't evolve the Kakuna or Pidgeotto, just move on to the next Pidgey/Weedle.

If you're talking about competitively, anything that's Water type is great to have. Eevee (Vaporeon), Slowpoke, Magikarp, Poliwag, Tentacool, Psyduck, Seel, etc. Also, anything that can take out Water types. Bellsprout, Venusaur, Magnemite.

The moves your base form has doesn't matter because it gets new moves when it evolves. You should check out the IV's though, use PokeAssist which is linked in the OP. Don't be a stickler for IV's, generally anything over 70-80% is good enough to evolve. If IVs are similar but one has a huge CP advantage, use CP as the deciding factor.

It doesn't matter whether you power it up before or after the evolution, the result is the same, but common sense is to evolve first, to see the moves it will get and then decide if it's still worthy of keeping/powering up.

If they're common enough around your place, Eevee, Growlithe and Exeggcute have good CP multipliers when evolving, while also being very useful.

Besides that Muk is pretty good because you know that sludge bomb is always going to hurt. Poison does normal damage to quite a few different types. It also doesn't have very many weaknesses in this meta besides psychic, but at least down here in the states where I am psychic pokemon like hypno are not very common.

So I'm level 7 and decided to be team red some days ago. Yesterday I went with my family to a restaurant in a monastery which is literally in the middle of nowhere (literally) and it fucking had 2 gyms. One had like rattatas and pidgeys with <100CP.
Problem is the leader had vapereons >1000CP and they all were from team blue.
