It's probably more likely that we won't be able to catch them an they'll just dodge/block the ball like the Ghost Marowak. Totem Pokemon are part of Sun & Moon's not-gym-leaders and being able to beat one in 1 + (number of allies) turn(s) with a ball doesn't seem like something they would let you do.

Who said Lurantis are vegetarians ? They have a move that slices rocks in half, I'm pretty positive they would do the same to you if you get on there nerv. Plus, you would get filled with pollen, why have sex with it in the first place KNOWING there's no real attraction.
