Not necessarily. Sometimes a Pokemon with Wide Guard can really mess you up if Heat Wave is your only option. I'm not saying that you shouldn't use Heat Wave, just letting you know that there are other things you can use. Fiery Dance is a great move that's strong, reliable, and has a chance to raise your Sp. Atk, so also consider that.

Since this is Doubles, you may also want to consider Protect and/or Rage Powder. It really depends on what you want to do with the Volcarona.

If you want a bulky bug, you can consider Giga Drain and/or Roost.

Volcarona is really versatile so I guess I can't really tell you exactly what to do with it. Also give me your FC so I can hand you that berry.

After 4 batches I got a shiny Scyther which motivated me and the first batch after that I got Charmander, then in the 3rd batch I got Cyndaquil.

If you happen to have a Metagross with max attack EV's those trainings are trivial. Sure the ultra slow ball is hard to aim at first but you get 1k+ points per hit so the whole thing is over in couple of shots.

It depends mostly on the EV's and shot type which varies. Metagross has ultra slow moving big ball that takes a long time to charge but gives insane amount of points. Mine can clear level 3 attack training in 3 hits for example. It makes those ultra specials just fly by, usually ending before they get off their first shot.
