'Umbreon is going to be a monster in Pokemon GO

I was curious to see what the stats of the other eeveelutions would be in Pokemon GO. Espeon looks like it will suffer from the "Jolteon syndrome" (high speed hampering its stats and low hp making it frail), but umbreon intrigued me. Using the current formulas for calculating Pokemon stats in GO, here are the results:
Stamina: 190

This is the hp pool of slowbro, exeggutor, and other high tier pokemon. An above average hp pool, but is GREATLY complimented by its incredible defence (more on this later).
Attack: 142

This is about raticate level, but umbreon can be speculated to obtain bite/feint attack, which have great dps and STAB, not to mention it's super effective to psychics like slowbro and exeggutor. Psychic attacks will be not very effective in return, so umbreon could be a very accessible hard counter to the currently dominant psychics.
Defence: 256

THIS IS ABOVE ARTICUNO'S DEFENCE STAT, THE HIGHEST DEFENCE STAT IN GEN 1. Combined with a great hp pool and fairy being the only immediate weakness (bug and fighting are kinda shafted at the moment), it will be very difficult to wear down an umbreon. Compare this to fighting vaporeon, whose 168 defence pales to umbreon's.

It's important to keep in mind how accessible eevees are. Having a very farmable psychic counter will greatly shift the meta. With the rise of mareep, a potentially accessible water slayer with great stats may make shocking shifts in the meta as well. Gen 2 is the competitive variety patch that I'm looking forward to.'

So the pokesear.ch guy created the only scanner that works in rural places and 3 world countries, seems pretty logical that as soon as someone leaked it to euronormies that everyone would use his service. I feel almost guilty using it knowing fastpokemap is adequate.

Pokeradar needs to be deleted from op, no longer works. My gf saw a wigglytuff nearby that the apps auto predictor showed spawned (not user submission) and i, dubious, check pokesear.ch and dont see it. We walk over the two blocks anyways. No wigglytuff but coincidentally there was a jigglypuff and then can attribute us going that direction to seeing wheezing on radar and pinpointing on scanner

every generation has a different set of starters
and yes, you can always find wild pokemon from previous generations in the games (except for Black and White 1, but you can still encounter familiar mons in the postgame)
I don't think you can run into wild Crobat and Kingdra though, usually you can't wild encounter the 3rd mon in an evo line
Every generation introduces a new region with a regional pokedex, this is where the new pokemon and some of the old mons are
Sometimes there are cross-gen evolutions like Crobat, Kingrda, Scizor, Electivire, Magmortar etc
Generally, the new pokemon follow the formula of the starters, a regional bird or two, a couple of regional bug lines, there's a knockoff Pikachu and of course the more unique pokemon
After beating the game you get the National Pokedex and the wild encounters change, after that you can encounter every pokemon (except for the version exclusives and some legendaries)
I'd say it'd definitely worth it to play the games you didn't, every gen has their own thing going for it
you asked about gen 4, yes, there are a lot of older pokemon who got baby preevos or new evos in generation 4. The region (Sinnoh) is in my top 2 favorite, I'd definitely recommend you play Platinum (it fixed a lot of the problems Diamond and Pearl had plus it added postgame)
gen 4 also has the gen 2 remakes (HeartGold and SoulSilver) which feature Johto (my other favorite region alongside Sinnoh)
I think you can only encounter gen 1 and 2 pokemon before beating the game and gen 1 -4 after getting the National dex (I haven't played the vanilla in a while, but I love and recommend the SacredGold StormSilver ROMhack which makes the game harder and adds wild variety)

the way the game is right now in the cp calculation speed is just not an important stat at all as its power is additive while all other stats are multiplicative

Niantic would need to redo the way that cp is calculated and make speed a more important stat in the game.

Here's an idea: maybe make signature moves a little better. Looks to be in the same tier as moves like Icy Wind. Pathetic.

I've been saying they should give pokemon worthwhile coverage moves. So something like Arcanine could get Bite or Fire Blast in the primary slot and then maybe Flamethrower/Wild Charge/Fire Blast. At least that way you can stomach getting the non Fire charge move with the justification that it better takes out enemy Water types. Instead there's always an objectively horrible move that you would never want under any circumstances, not even necessarily for the coverage it gives, but moreso for the horrible base power of the moves.

Worse, Brazil. There are two electrified fences between my building and that spawn point out of reach but probably I would need to jump only one to get it in range. Still not gonna do it.

I was fixing some issues. Everything seems to be working fine again now. Gyms and Pokestops are temp disabled. Let me know of any problems/questions
