Which are you getting /vp?
Why not both?
>>28322505
Sun
>>28322505
Moon
but im kinda worried about the time system. When i play at night i want to play at ingame night-time too.
>>28322574
set your system clock 12 hours ahead, then.
>>28322505
I wanted Sun but my wife likes the lion more than the bat. And im recently getting in to Pokemon so i guess i got outvoted by her years playing since gen 1.
so moon for me then.
>>28322505
Sun + moon steelbook at a discounted price.
>>28322524
Because Im' not that autistic
Moon because I want cat eyes
Moon since night looks comfier
Pirating moon
>>28324302
Yeah of course you're not, you're adjusted enough to hang out here you dumb fuck. Get both and have buzzwords of fun.
>>28322505
Both
>>28324373
>asks "which are you getting?"
>nothing about how you get it
>piratefags mention how they're going to pirate it
every time
Sun, since I'll get aspy in Moon if the clock is offset.
>>28322505
moon, enjoy your melanoma sun faggots
>>28322505
Sun, it's pretty interesting since I've primarily played all the "red" games
>Red
>Gold
>Ruby
>Firered
>Pearl
>HeartGold
>White
>Black 2 (thought it continued from White since they both had Zekrom)
>Y
>Omega Ruby
>>28322505
Moon first, i rarely get to play at night so it'll be an interesting change
Then i might play Sun since it seems we actually got version-differences aside from the pokemon, i hope it's not just the time offset and totem pokemon and they include locations like BW though
Do we know any version exclusives aside from the cover legendaries?
>>28325435
Just time offset and totems for now, i guess
>>28325116
1000x this.
>>28322505
I'm actually really conflicted. I wait for version exclusives.
Day/Night both side sounds appealing
>>28322505
Moon cause I'm a faggot and that's okay
>>28325210
I would argue that Black and White 2 would be closer to a "red version" since Reshiram has red in his design with the flames. With that aside I have also leaned heavily red. Which is ironic since I've usually gone in favoring the blue version but ended up with the red one due to circumstances.
>>28322505
>not getting both and trading all three starters from one game to the other, then playing that one through
>>28324334
Moon for me to. I'm going for gasps.
>>28322505
Not sure yet but I'm leaning torwards Sun so far, since I prefer its legendary and I don't like Moon having the time inverted (I know I can just set the 3DS's time 12 hours ahead, but then that defeats the whole point, and its fucks the time for my other games, and it just doesn't display the right time).
I might change idea once they reveal more version-exclusive pokemon or any other feature.
I might also end up getting Moon if all my friends decide to buy Sun.
>>28325816
But the starters are all shit.
>>28322505
Neither and I'm probably done with the franchise at this point.
It's been an abusive relationship desu.
>>28322524
MoonMy girlfriend is getting Sun
>>28325698
As someone who is always Blue I have to agree - I picked White.
I'm going with this time, though. I prefer normal game time and the Sun legendary.
>>28322574
Yeah, I'm having the same conflict. I wish they would have done something like Alaska's real day/night cycle. Like, Sun would only have night time for 4-6 hours starting at something like 10pm. Conversely, Moon would only have daylight for 6 hours or so starting at 10am.
All they're doing now is making Moon players play on a fucked up schedule and have to ironically deal with daytime hours when they're playing after school/work. Sun players won't even notice the unusual time schedule.
>>28325210
It's never occurred to me that Gold, Ruby, or Pearl were the Red versions. Fuck. I always loved that I'm a Blue player.
Fuck. I didn't play a single Blue game between the original Blue and X.
>>28326229
Pearl isnt the "red" game though--I always thought it was based on the Pokemon A and Pokemon B thing so
A:
>Red
>Gold
>Ruby
>Diamond
>Black
>X
>Sun
B
>Blue
>Silver
>Sapphire
>Pearl
>White
>Y
>Moon
In my mind, even though diamond/pearl and x/y are sort of switched in the color palette, they're still the "B" version, and niether namesake is related to the color like, for example, ruby/sapphire is.
That's my thought on this
>>28324284
my amazon bro
Is it actually worth getting both? What's the point of that
>>28322505
excuse me good sir, but the only correct and true choice here is moon, not your silly sun, whom you foolishly praise to
>>28322505
Moon
>>28326391
2 save files and you can get all the version exclusives for yourself, and honestly, why not?
I understand if you're short on money, but as much I play pokemon, an extra 40 dollars every couple of years is nothing.
>>28326283
if you switch x and y this would be perfect
>>28326440
>I can be yuor Son or yuor Moone
Is there the one for Sun as well?
>>28322505
I'll always get the warmer colors (Y/Omega Ruby/Heart Gold) and my gf gets the colder colors so sun it is (I actually don't give a damn)
>>28322505
Still getting glorious Sun
Enjoy night time, moonfags.
>>28326484
I play through both for the version exclusives and the versiondifferences , one gender per game, and decide who I like more, then transfer all my stuff to the better one and return the worse one orsell it on eBay or somethin
>>28326107
Dumb thought- if the time isn't set in the game, couldn't you just set your DS time to the opposite hours and still play Moon during the in-game day hours during the day?
Moon. I've been team secondary since Gen 1
>>28326391
They're confirmed to have unique bosses like Black and White, and then there's the day/night cycle switch up.
I got the Amazon set. I wanted the steelbook and I planned on getting both eventually anyway.
>>28325987
Stop being a little faggot and just get the game.
>>28322505
I pre-ordered Moon a while ago.
I don't really mind the 12-hour shift. I'll be working 60+ hours a week, so my play time will likely be at random hours.
>>28326484
I personally couldn't be bothered to play through the same game twice in such a short timeframe.
>>28325116
Enjoy your vitamin d deficiency.
>>28326559
how's being a cuck since the very beginning treating you?
I've preordered both and the guide, and plan to play both at the same time.
I'm grown and do what I want.
>>28326636
>I'm grown and do what I want.
Perhaps, but you're obviously self-conscious about it.
>>28324284
>discounted price
It's $89.99, what discount? Was there a price reduction I missed?
>>28326283
Dialga has light blue in its design, Palkia has pink.
>>28326662
Amazon Prime members get 20% off new games and pre-orders.
>>28326283
I've always gone by that as well, always getting the "blue" version. It bothers me a little that the actual colors don't always line up to the red being a warm color and the blue being a cool color, but I've always considered the naming more important. It's Pokemon RED and BLUE. GOLD and SILVER. Etc, and I always get the Blue.
So, Moon, is the answer to the thread. I also really like that it's clock is forward 12 hours. Just kind of neat.
>>28322505
Depends on the available pokemon.
Literally the only thing that I've ever based my decision on which version to get has been the version exclusives. Even more so in this gen, because I hate both box legendaries equally.
>>28326661
Thank you for diagnosing me Dr. Phil.
going to just get moon. i like night time and batty is cooler. if the clock setback gets annoying i'll change the clock. nbd
I still don't understand the time thing? Can someone please dumb it down for me?Sorry yo.
>>28322505
Moon. The tought of playing at night during the day is too good.
>>28325435
Driifloon for sun and Misdreavus for moon.
I'm gonna get both, so I can play nighttime on one cart and then switch them out to play daytime on the other
>>28324373
>Pirating
Attw
>>28326283
Diamond/Pearl and XY seem to be the ones I've always notice to mess up the choice patterns.
My theory's that it's because the secondary game (Pearl and Y) get the "warmer" colors rather than the opposite in every other gen for some reason? Red almost always goes with the 1st game in the acronyms while blue almost goes with the 2nd.
>>28322505
Moon, because I mostly play late at night thanks to my work schedule. Will be nice to see some sunlight, and its always been weird starting my pokemon adventure at 2 in the morning.
>>28329331
It has day and night cycles based on your 3DS clock like in gen 6
But Moon will always be set 12 hours ahead.
So assuming your 3DS is set at real time, playing Pokemon Moon at 9 am means it's 9 pm in the game
Pokemon Sun plays on normal time
