Because it's a Pokemon game, the whole point of not preordering is to wait for reviews to make sure the game's actually good. You rarely have to do that with Nintendo games because the core gameplay is usually the same, but with a changed story and added features. Literally all the main series Pokemon games have been worth the money, people around here just love to complain. You're going to play it anyway, why not just give up the cash early?

There's a point where you have to realise that there's a difference between tedium and difficulty. Not explaining elements to the player isn't difficulty it's just forcing them to run around in circle needlessly.

It certainly kills the exploration aspect and what not but everything else isn't an issue if you've ever played an RPG prior. Even with no prior experience with the game there's not much difficulty.

It's literally just being a child that made it feel difficult.
I would know, I'm old enough to have played the classic SNES RPGs that were actually hard and at first I didn't get what was so good about Pokemon because it was so simple then I dropped it until gen 3.
