Fuck, after seeing that plain obvious chimera pokemon, I don't know what to think any more. Even the name might imply to it being a chimera, the pokedex possibly not being able to recognize it because it's a clusterfuck of a mesh, I don't know and keeps recognizing it as nothing.

They don't have to all be done in the exact same way to fit a theme.

Doesn't Type: Null being a creation of Aether (Unity(Fire, Water, Earth, Air)) debunk the starter evolution "leaks"? It would be safe to assume that it inhibits part of each of their respective evolutions, none of which appear based on the artwork of Luchalitten and pals.

A pokémon's entire body can be drawn in a wide variety of poses and angles. It's basically guaranteed to vaguely resemble *some* symbol if you grasp at straws long enough.

I think what people don't get about the elements that the starters represent is that it's not a "fire, water, earth, wind" set. Those three elements represented mind-body-soul, which were one of the most basic trinities in Alchemic theory.

I'll never understand why people are so obsessed with shoehorning lead into the set.

Well, the clear parts are the grey feathers, the green talons, the feline body with purple lumbs, and the blue fin tail. That would line up pretty well with an owl, cat, and something aquatic, though that's more of a fish tail.

However, looking at the fish tail more closely, it has small diamond studs on it, very similar to rockruff's collar.

Okay, let me tell you why this argument is shit. These pokemon are all first gen pokemon who don't even have Alola forms. The Pokemon we're talking about are 6th/7th gen mons, and GF'S doing all kinds of crazy shit with 7th gen because it's the 20th anniversary. You're seeing symbols that aren't there. A pokémon's entire body in a specific pose is not proof.

I always loved this sort of occult aspect the games had. Like, beating the gyms and becoming champion is neat, but I think the meat of the games have always been the lore behind the legendaries. Going through Ruins of Alph at night, exploring the Braille caves, visiting the Chateau and stuff like that have always been the nicer memories about these games.
This Ultra Beasts and Null look super interesting, I want to see more.
They always say, "What more can they make a pokemon" and they always come up with something weird.

Honestly the alchemy references are getting harder to ignore. Certainly better founded than the alleged Norse themes last gen. I love me some Norse mythology, but most of the stuff people claimed there was pretty forced. This seems intentional.
