Also apparently Gladion's arm is the reason he's able to control Type: Null or something so I doubt he's a UB.

Nah, she's the villain.

All of the primary antagonists are always clean characters, with a professional like apperance. The only exception is Archie's redesign, but in his original apperance, he wore a business suit. even his redesign is clean and neat.

Lusamine matches the same regards that all other team leaders have shown. She's the primary antagonist. she may not start out as one, but she will be.

Type: Null was probably his companion pokemon that his mother's foundation, if she is his mother, turned into a false god through experimentation.

So he got right the fuck out of there and stole their Chinese Knock-Off Arceus, AKA his best friend, leading to them experimenting with other realities and Ultra Beasts because they need a new superweapon to replace Type: Null. Joins up with YA BOI because they probably fuck with the Aether Foundation all the time.

Which, frankly, is much better than just having an evil team who fucks shit up for shits and giggles. And don't get me wrong, fucking shit up for shits and giggles is great. Team Skull is my favourite team in the entire franchise BECAUSE their goals are so petty. Having that, as well as Team Aether being monsters guided by some fucked up "altruism", would make for the best games ever.
