>I save pokemon art from ifunny
You are cancer
>>28311287
Sorry about that, I forgot to crop it.
>>28311287
How's everyone feel about what's been revealed today?
Which game(s) are you planning on getting?
>>28311746
I'm so hyped! I think these might be my favourite games yet. I love how there's actually a mature story. And all the things they've added to it are amazing. More Amie, PokeSnap, Ultimate Beasts, two teams, etc.
I've already preordered Moon.
>>28311746
>How's everyone feel about what's been revealed today?
I'm not to thrilled about the time part but it's great overall.
>Which game(s) are you planning on getting?
Moon
>>28312029
>>28312051
I wish more artists would do full landscape/setting art like the ones in this thread. They're all so beautiful and it makes me want Pokemon to be real.
>>28311746
>reveals
They seem interesting if a little odd. Gamefreak doesn't usually mix up their formula this much, so I let's hope it pays off.
>version
I'll let my brother pick one and I'll take the other so we can trade.
>>28311502
>living on your Torterra
Can you imagine how interesting that would be? Especially if you enjoy traveling?
>>28311746
I wanted to get moon originally for lunala, but the trailer seemed to indicate drifloon would be sun-exclusive and it's one of my favorites...
>>28314182
>>28314182
I'd be living the dream, my man.
torterra incoming
>>28314347
>>28314297
Where would you go with your Torterra?
>>28314347
Hope it's okay to share this torterra I doodled.
>>28311746
I dunno how much I like the time aspect, but the story reveals were really interesting (although it's annoying already knowing that UB-1 is basically Lilly), and that town showcased in the trailer looks comfy as hell. I haven't been this hyped for a Pokemon game in a long time.
>>28314860
>that town showcased in the trailer
Ignore that, I meant "that town showcased in the Japanese trailer"
>>28314860
But it's not Lillie. I'm betting it simply has a plot relevance to her.
>>28314969
True -- I guess seeing so many of those threads has conditioned me.
>>28314710
Travel all over the West Indies, making the sea my home.
Minus the zika.
>comfiest game poll
>no pokemon channel
You disgust me, OP.
>>28315154
I'd probably travel around the Caribbean occasionally stepping on land in order to resupply myself and enjoy the beaches.
Does anyone has that image where there is a girl suplexing an Onix?
These threads feel like coming home.
>>28311533
What do you call that dull ache in your chest when you yearn for something to be a real, tangible thing you can experience and know firsthand, even though you know it never can be, /vp/?
>>28315916
Lots of words. Wanderlust. Melancholy. Nostalgia for something that never was.
>>28315916
The second of the two worst human feelings.
It's the desire for what never can be.
The other is the yearning for what never was (in the past)
I cannot fucking wait until VR becomes so advanced that we'll actually be able to live in these worlds. It's gonna happen, and it'll be amazing.
>>28315984
>>28315985
The new japanese trailer punched me directly in the chest with memories of the past, and stirred up that faint old childhood longing for the chance to experience the world of Pokemon firsthand.
>>28316072
That's what I'm hoping for too, anon.
On a lighter note, what's your favorite thing revealed about Alola so far? Just the scenery and how alive the world looks really has me hyped to get out there and explore. And to throw pyukumuku back into the sea. I hope we have more pointless but world-building sidequests like that, just for the heck of it.
>>28315520
>>28316323
I added the shiny on this one, will see if I can do it in this one, it has a more complex lighting.
Here is the original.
>>28311746
I will probably get Sun.
>>28316458
Good luck anon, it does look tricky.
I want to see someone draw Comfey and Whimsicott together at some point, it would be cute.
>>28314763
As a fellow Drawanon, I think it's very nice!
>>28311746
I'm sure there's more reason to the time shift, and it doesn't bother me too much, so I'll still get moon.
I'm so dang excited for these games, man. Everything looks so good so far.
Let's have a conversation bros!
Games:
>What are you most looking forward to?
>Do you have a fav new mon that everyone seems to overlook?
>What small detail has you really hyped?
Imagine if:
>What would your life in Alola be like? Mons? Job?
>What region would you live in and where?
>>28316880
>What would your life in Alola be like? Mons? Job?I think I'd want to be a school teacher in Alola. I have too many mons I like but I'd probably have a Lilligant or other pokemon suited for household life. I'd travel sometimes, the other anons talking about traveling on their torterra got me feeling.
>What region would you live in and where?
Outside of Alola, probably Sinnoh because muh nostalgia first game, I know the region like the back of my hand. Hearthome city is comfy, but perhaps a secluded life in Celestic town.
>>28311746
I'm in love with Lusamine. The new Snap feature seems pretty cool. It seems like this game is going to feature a neat "genetic experimentation" theme in the story which I'm all on board with. Still just so "meh" about the Pokemon themselves though.
I want Sun, but boyfriend already pre-ordered it before we met, so I'm getting Moon.
>>28314860
Also, all of this.
>>28316072
I can't wait to use VR with FFxiv. Not sure if anyone in these threads has played it, but its the comfiest MMO I've ever played.
>>28316164
>Just the scenery and how alive the world looks really has me hyped to get out there and explore.
I love the scenery so far, and the format of the game seems to really inspire exploration.
>>28316880
>What are you most looking forward to?
Catching new alolan forms and new mons.
>Do you have a fav new mon that everyone seems to overlook?
Morelull! It's so cute and a literal walking night light!
>What small detail has you really hyped?
I love how these games are bringing a more serious tone underneath the surface like Black/White.
>What would your life in Alola be like? Mons? Job?
Just like in every other region I would love to work in a library. Helping new trainers, researchers, and scientists find books on their interests. I would use all fairymons. I feel like it ties in perfectly with a library technician job because of fairytales, lores and mythology. I don't know if I would really like the weather in Alola though. I'm used to the distinct seasons in Canada and most of the months being chilly.
>What region would you live in and where?
I guess Sinnoh would be the most like Canada. Maybe Unova (Ontariofag here which is quite close to NYC)? Either Canalave City or Nacrene city and working in those library's.
I know my responses are probably boring by now because I always talk about library's and fairymons. Love these threads though!
>>28317556
>Morelull! It's so cute and a literal walking night light!
10/10 would have Morelull around my house
I've noticed that the general atmosphere of the comfy threads is much different from the rest of /vp/, and many times, there's some discussion going on that's not directly related to the rest of the thread. With that in mind, would anybody be interested in a small forum to somewhat supplant these threads? It's probably a stupid idea, but it might be interesting to have a different format and get to know each other.
>inb4 "you're missing the whole point of an imageboard, retard"
I dunno, I kinda like the comfy threads' "community", and it'd be nice to have a more centralized place to discuss various topics.
I haven't made this hypothetical forum yet, but if there's enough interest, I might quickly whip something up on forumotion.
>>28317632
Unfortunately forums are a dead format, so I don't think it would get much attention.
>>28317610
I would use them as a book light.
>>28317632
I would, definitely. I don't know if you mean the pokemon is now real questions, but if so, yeah, I would totally love a forum to discuss the lore and stuff along those lines.I tried to make a "Pokemon Is Now Real" general and it died in the first day, so I would totally post on this forum a lot as long as it doesn't turn into roleplay or at least has it's own section.
>>28317718
The "end goal" of this idea isn't to get the largest userbase possible, but to maybe provide another place for frequent comfy thread posters to congregate. That said, it's said that forums have died. They used to be some of the best parts of the net.
>>28317723
Good to know, I'll keep that in mind!
>>28316880
I've had some time to think about the mons I would own in everyday.
Tropius is my ultimate comfymon, just thinking about eating the fruit in the summer and resting on its back and flying around.
I'd have a Klefki for my housekeys and as a pet. I'd probably spend the most time with Klefki as its small and would probably watch me work or help me teach.
Gastrodon is my dog.
Still brainstorming the rest.
>>28317556
To be more specific the mons I would use are Clefable, Morelull and Klefki. Clefable is my fave pokemon and I imagine it could float to the tall library shelves and help out with story time and library events like that. Klefki would be for security and hold the keys to the library and the rare materials. And morelull as I've mentioned in this thread I would use as a walking book/night light.
I wouldn't mind cuddling a cutiefly either. There's so many cute fairymons that I wouldn't mind hanging out with. I think the would like the comfy-ness and quiet nature of the library. I could imagine them hiding in the shelves or playing little pranks on the patrons.
>>28317632
I'd be interested. You guys seem like a pleasant bunch and it's been a long while since I've done anything unanon.
>>28314731
>>28311533
Max comfy.
>>28319708
This is adorable.
>>28316880
>What are you most looking forward to?
Exploring the region and just-- getting into the world, you know? Catching the Pokemon and seeing what the towns and routes are like. Also, rumors that there might be Secret Bases in Sun/Moon has me hyped to tears if it's true. ALSO: POKEMON SNAP 3D IS EVERYTHING.
>Do you have a fav new mon that everyone seems to overlook?
Stufful has a tag on its butt and that makes no sense, but I love that it's a thing.
>What small detail has you really hyped?
The streetmarket stalls are just such a nice touch if we can actually use them. It's a kind of immersion in the region and I can't wait to see it in person.
>What would your life in Alola be like? Mons? Job?
I'd like to be a a photographer, all things considered. Traveling around the region and taking photos of all the natural splendor and everything would just be as comfy as could be. I would probably wind up surrounded with bug types, all things considered, but I'd really want an Alolan Exeggutor. Just because.
>What region would you live in and where?
As much as I'm coming to love Alola, I might wind up in Hoenn or Sinnoh. Somewhere innawoods-y and not too populated. Fortree has always been comfy for me.
>>28317632
I'd drop by now and then, anon. I still don't think comfy threads could work as a general, but dropping in on a forum now and then might be a nice change of pace. The people here seem generally nicealso Pokemon is Now Real threads are always fun
>>28311746
I'm afraid that the amount of stuff in this game will make it feel like concepts are going by too fast
Also don't like Kanto only Variants
Outside that I'm interested
Fourmanon here, I've started working on setting up the forum and will post a link when it's ready. That said, I have a quick question that I'd like to run by all of you. I fear that the forum won't be active due to a lack of users -- hell, this thread only has 25 unique posters or so. Would it be an absolutely idiotic idea to advertise it on leddit/other Pokemon communities in order to have a larger userbase, or should we not do any advertisement at all?
>>28322008
I'd personally be okay with you advertising on other sites as long as you're going to be able to moderate the forum and have a clear set of rules in your head about what is and isn't allowed.
>>28322008
If you build it, they will come. It'll sort itself out, Forumanon.
>>28322076
Yeah, one of the things that I'm working on is setting up rules. It'll probably seem a bit draconian at first (e.g. no politics, no flamewars, yadda yadda yadda) but hopefully it'll make for a comfier experience.
>>28322175
That sounds great to me. Can't wait!
>>28322175
Looking forward to it.
>>28322008
I'd say avoid advertising until there's something to show for it. It's tacky to advertise places you aren't active to have other people join a new, tiny forum.
>>28322175
Looking forward to it!
I hope this thread lasts through the night. I havea dentist appointmentin the morning so I won't be able to bump it myself. Either way, thanks for the good feels, comfyanons.
>>28322990
Good luck Anon! Dentist appointments suck.
>>28323054They do, they're stupid expensive and honestly terrifying, but I gotta deal with this one fucking tooth so I can eat without seeing white if I bite wrong.Thank you though! Have a comfy for the road.
Forumanon here! I've just set up the forum and while it's bare-bones at the moment, I feel like it could potentially become something nice. Here's the link: http://thecomfyforum.forumotion.com/
I might make some of you mods, because I am not a good moderator by any standards. Too lazy. Anyway, I hope that you all like it!
>>28323182
I'll make an account tomorrow. Thanks for going through all the trouble of making a place for us to post.
>>28323584
No problem, and thanks for making an account. I just figured that it'd be more convenient than having to wait who knows how long for the next thread to pop up here.
>>28312188
Steven must have a good bed frame to hold up almost 400 pounds of Aron.
>>28323672
Missed the Beldum, which puts it over 600.
>>28323182
Registered an account but probably can't start posting until tomorrow. Thanks for what you've done, forumanon.
>>28323182
Made an account!
Board's moving fast tonight, goodness.
>>28314763
Also sharing!
Nice Torterra!
>>28325432
I'm surprised this thread lasted so long; I'm used to these threads dying on hype days.
>>28325591
I've honestly been camping here and bumping when it gets into the late pages, but I have to sleep soon. I'm glad it stuck around for a while, though.
Goodnight /vp/, goodnight comfy anons. It was fun.
>>28326106
'night, anon. Sleep well.
>>28311746
I've loved pokemon since around 2003, and yet this is the first game im actually following the release of and I'm just so hype!
>>28327541
Forgot pic, also getting sun.
