I'm level 26 and I have less than 25 candy for charmander/bulbasaur and like 45 for squirtle.
So even for squirtle, it's gonna take 160km walked to make a blastoise. If you assume I run into another 10 squirtles on the way, that's still 45+30=75 125-75 =50 = 100kms.
So it's still going to take a while to get the third starters to max, it's just a finite possibility now instead of an endless rng hopefest.

Why? If they're common as fuck then you'll also have the appropriate counter to it.

I just wish it wasn't so fucking biased towards 1 stage evos, 125 candy for a bite/flash cannon blastoise or a fury cutter/megahorn nidoking is gay.

Takes over twice as many candy to evolve a bellsprout to a victreebel as it does a growlithe to an arcanine.

Possibly, they can't detect the mod outright, but they could detect inconsistencies in GPS data (though it seems like they haven't gone that deep yet) and they could detect root access (again, they shouldn't act on that alone, but it would be wise for them to prevent the game from running on rooted phones in the future).

Considering all this, I'd say the chances of a ban are extremely low, assuming you're moving at normal speeds and never teleported accidentally or intentionally.

I cannot give you a 100% guarantee, as it's still unclear what exactly raised flags in the past and what detection methods are they working on right now. We'd need an inside man for that.

I caught my first perfect eevee today actually, I'm level 26 and I've caught 178 eevees and hatched 4 of those. So take that as will for how it is as far as Rarity. I don't even know if I want to evolve it because I don't want it to end up useless by chance...

As far as your eevee, I have a Vaporeon with 15/13/13 stats and it's one of my top three and my most reliable. I'd say go for it now and raise it up.

They are rare but 3 different spots within scanning range of my house spawn them. Typically caught 1 per day recently, also got lucky with hatching one from an egg.

That's not as bad, you can take one down with a couple of friends and cash in. I'm team Mystic and most of the gyms around me are lvl 7-10 Mystic, it's impossible to level them up and most of the time there's no empty spot.

You need a pokefriend anon. It must feel bad pokehunting alone and only getting crapmons and driving just to hit pokestops. I know the feel of training up gyms alone with just my mon. Making 2-3 slots if i find inactive gym. Only my solo journeys are filled with too mamy pokemon and stops. It's working a bit worse now for some reason. Yes, I cleared the cookies.
Scanning area is larger but there are times when it refuses to scan until refresh and often leaves some spots unscanned. Still does the job well and I'm thankful for it.
