now i like to think that i actually enjoy most of the pokemon anime episodes. even the filler isn't too bad for me to get through.

the only exceptions are the episodes that focus on that little four eyed squirt. he's whiny and annoying and has one of the most borderline homoerotic episodes with that ralts in AG109. even as a kid in middle school i knew that was pretty low quality writing.

It's quite simple.
If the subject loses every time when it really matters, then he is by definition a huge loser. It doesn't matter if he's "competent", doesn't matter if you think he's "really great". When it comes down to crucial battles, he loses, and that makes him a loser.

Unlike other losers might have told you, there is no glory whatsoever in defeat, it might be gracious to learn from your mistakes and keep your head up but that's it, you achieve nothing more by losing and the world doesn't care about losers.

Ash is a loser and so are you.
