I usually go for a standard sweeping set, swords dance + EQ + 2 coverage moves can decimate so many pokemon, specially some stall cores.

People always mention gengar and starmie when they say OU veterans, but gliscor has also been in there since birth.

Not to mention its mere existance made gligar viable again.

Raised a Gliscor back at the beginning of Gen VI with Sub + Protect. What happened that causes Smogon to not recommend this set anymore?

There are beter stalling options, and gliscor serves better in other roles. Its not that it isnt good, there are simply much better options for that role and for gliscor.

And if you're running an offensive set with both sub and protect, you're doing something wrong.
