All Gen1 Mewtwo is is just a Gen6 Mewtwo who's Special Atk and Defense are Base 154. Things change drastically based on which mechanics we are using. If we port Mega Fug to Gen1, he's sporting a tasty 180 Special but no Delta Stream. So it mostly comes down to can Mewtwo wall Extreme Speed long enough to Amnesia some power Ice Beams.

If we're porting Mewtwo to Gen 6 with Gen 1 Sp.Defense, I imagine not much changes.

Put Gen 1 Mewtwo into a Gen 6 game (ORAS) with same Gen 1 stats, and movepool. Mega Fug obliterates badly.

Put Mega Fug in a Gen 1 game, get rid of his Sp. Defense stat and ret con it's Movepool to resemble Gen 1, than Mewtwo wins.

I'm mostly assuming they use his Special Atk as the Base for his Special like they did Mewtwo. So that 180 is acting for both Atk and Defense.

This is also assuming using Extreme Speed is allowed since that's his only actual usable move against Mewtwo since Dragon attacks are considered Special attacks. Regardless, he's at a major disadvantage in Gen 1.
