Why are they never talked about, though? Everyone talks about champions and gym leaders as if they were celebrities but the brains don't get any attention. If they're cool enough to capture legends, they should at least get some recognition or NPCs mentioning them

I got an idea about a dual type gym

It would be set in a very cold town similar to Snowpoint City in Sinnoh, but wouldn't be an Ice gym; instead it would combine the Fire and Water themes to be some sort of "vapor" typed gym.

The gym itself would be a huge sauna with an area for trainers to relax, and an area to battle, with the intensity of the heat increasing as you'd get closer to the gym leader.
As you got to the hottest areas, the water vapor would have an effect similar to smog, and the accuracy of moves would decrease.

The gym leader himself would have a dual type team made of Vaporeon, Flareon, Starmie and Magmortar, maybe also Kingdra or Volcarona fuck Volcanion
The badge would be the Steam badge, and the TM would be Scald.

I can't have Aerodactyl as my partner since it's too strong for early levels that's why I chose Gligar/Gliscor

I still really want to see a contest Gym that takes into account a moves Combat and Contest stats.
You win by contest points, but if a Pokemon is knocked out that trainer loses like 5 hearts and the trainer who landed the move gains 5 hearts.

took a while but I finished it, the gym would be something like labyrinth and after you beat a trainer you would be presented with two doors and at random a trainer will lie to you telling you which door to go through, if you end up taking a false door you fall down to an area filled with gym trainers who mock you for falling for the trick.
