Traditionally speaking I think the old system, where the elite four got progressively harder was more challenging. Lucian was definitely the most challenging for me, though I'm sure many of you disagree. Who was the hardest for you?

Any of the sinnoh E4 really, if only because I was defeated by the intense boredom I felt from those games.
I've never made it past gym 7 in those games

Lucian, easily. He's the only E4 member that got me frustrated enough to have to walk away from the game.

Never had any trouble against any E4 member but in my first play through of ruby I didn't know how to deal with Ice types so Glacia was a pain since I was a stupid noob and never saw an ice type
If I was going for a more objective standpoint when I learned the typechart I'd say Lucian is the most annoying to deal with all because of his bronzong, which I always forget which ability it has
